Good foods for constipation


Foods causing constipation

1. Red Meat like Pork and Beef
2. Sugar Products such as Cakes, cookies, pies, crackers and pastries and all sorts of sugary products are low in fiber yet high in fat and sugar.
3. Dairy Products such as milk, cheese, butter and ice cream
4. Processed Foods such as pizza, pasta, frozen dinners, corn chips and instant mashed potatoes.
5. Caffeine rich foods such as coffee, chocolate and black tea

• Apricots
• Figs
• Papaya
• Peaches
• Pears

Vegetables for Constipation

Beans: Canella, garbanzo, kidney, navy and pinto.
Greens: Chard, kale and spinach.
Vegetables: Artichoke hearts, asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, green beans

• High fiber breakfast cereals (look for at least 8 grams of fiber per serving).
• Whole grain breads
